CHILD DEVELOPMENT FACILITATORS
Cause and Effect accepts resumes for Child Development Facilitators on an ongoing basis. The CDF is a term-employee position. CDFs supports children with disabilities and their family in their preschool, community and home. Building on the child's individual program plan, the CDF implements fun and playful learning opportunities under the direction of a multidisciplinary therapy team.
Hours are generally: Monday to Thursday (sometimes Friday), following the school hours and calendar. Part-time positions are available. Typically CDFs are paid for holidays over the Christmas and Spring breaks and have summers off.
Qualifications: Early Childhood Education, Community Disability Studies, Training in psychology, education, rehabilitation, or child care, or Therapy Assistant Diploma. Individuals with alternate education/experience who are also organized, playful and love children will be considered. Past experience is an asset.
Hiring Requirements Include: All CDFs with Cause and Effect must be able to drive and have a valid driver's license and a car in good working order. CDFs also are required to obtain a Driver's Abstract, Child First AId/CPR, Child Welfare and Criminal Record checks.
