Welcome to Cause & Effect Foundation

- Mission Statement -

"To promote maximum skill development in children who have special needs in their early years."

Cause and Effect Foundation, a registered charity, is an Early Intervention Program working with pre-school children with special needs and their families since 1994. We provide speech and language services, primarily in daycare settings within Calgary and surrounding communities, to children aged 3 years 8 months to 6 years. Funding is provided by Alberta Education through their Mild/Moderate (MM) and Moderate Language Delay (PUF-MLD) grants. There is no cost to the parent accessing these programs through Cause and Effect Foundation. "Our programs are founded on the philosophy of “play with a purpose”, which is highly effective and widely proven to be a successful strategy for young learners. The Cause and Effect Team is dedicated and passionate in supporting the children and their families registered in our programs.

Cause & Effect Foundation Newsletter Spring 2015

Happy Spring!

Winter is quickly coming to an end and we are anticipating a wonderful Spring season as we aim to finish well in our Cause & Effect program this year!

We have been thrilled to hear the good news of your children’s accomplishments in development and want to encourage you to celebrate each milestone big and small!

At this time of year therapists begin assessments with your children in preparation of the May Individual Program Plan and/or Individual Service Plan review meetings.  Those families with children who are transitioning into Kindergarten in the fall will also benefit from the transitional IPP meeting that is  scheduled with CEF in your receiving Elementary School.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to talk with your Family Liaison Coordinator and  Educational Consultant.
